Are you Drinking Enough Water?


Do you know that water is that basic element of good health? While water does not directly provide energy by itself, it is essential to all cells and process that do provide energy to your body.

Water and Body Processes. Each vital process in the body occurs through the help of water fluids. It carries oxygen in the blood stream and it aids in the removal of waste products by enabling proper excretion and urine. It also functions as the all-important solvent, helping the body break down and absorbs nutrients and minerals. To maintain enough blood and maintain our blood pressure level, water is necessary. Water helps regulated the body’s temperature in both warm and cold water, as it is lubricates and cushions various joints of the body as well as part of the eye. Simpl put, water is the fluid which makes all life processes possible.

Critical to Life. In importance, water is second only to oxygen. An average person can live for about two to four months without food but only three to five days without water. Approximetly two-thirds of person’s body weight is water – our blood is 82 percent water and both our brain and muscles are 75 percent water. While needs may vary, the typical daily requirements of an adult is 1.5L a day in order to stay health.

Water Sources. We cab obtain water from variety of sources – aside from the clear liquid, food also contains water. Fruit juices, and vegetables are rich sources of water, as well as dairy products, such as milk and cheese, and meat. The best source of fluid is still clear and clean water.

How’s your Water Intake? Adequate water intake is essential to our bodies to work properly. So start the daily habit of drinking water regularly. Remember then when you drink a glass of water, you are doing your self a healthy favor and literally drinking of life.
