Having too many choices can cause you to continue easting past the point hunger because you want to experience the tastes, aromas, textures and other sensory properties of foods you haven’t eaten yet, Rolls explains. It’s smart to give yourself no more than three of four food choices on your plate – with most of them being plant-based – and to make a conscious effort to savor each flavor.
