Vitamin K Health Fact
Vitamin K is essential in the clothing of the blood. When it’s absent, prolonged bleeding may occur and severe anemia may result. This vitamin is abundant in all green vegetables, and also in soybeans and tomatoes. Any serious disease of the liver, particularly jaundice, may interfere with the actions of this vitamin. Some doctors prescribe vitamin K just prior to surgery, and also advise its use during pregnancy.
